Our story

Brief history

IAT Technical School at Lower Matasia Campus specialises in plant operator training on modern machinery — including motor grader, bulldozer, excavator, roller, backhoe loader, and forklift — alongside artisan, craft, and engineering programmes such as land survey, civil engineering, building and construction, plumbing, welding, and motor vehicle mechanics.

Training combines classroom instruction with practical machine time. Many plant operator courses run on monthly intakes with boarder and non-boarder fee options.

Classes run Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Trainees report every first week of the month. Please bring the documents listed in our joining instructions, complete registration, and follow the official fee payment channels only — Family Bank or Lipa Na M-PESA Paybill 830669.

We provide hostel beds, overalls, and mattresses where applicable. Special diets require a medical certificate. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. We wish you a successful training period.
